I wish I had a soundproof room so I could listen to music or play my guitar or piano (I also wish my piano was in my room…) or whatever and not wake up my mother…
“…I live in a townhouse and share a wall with neighbors so I was looking for sound blocking material to hang on that wall which would then be covered by a curtain. (MuteX) has worked beautifully. The material was easy to cut into the dimensions I needed and it was light weight enough to hang from a double curtain rod. I can tell in my own living room that the sound is being absorbed much better and there isn’t as much live sound bouncing throughout the room. Fortunately, I haven’t heard any more complaints from the neighbors either. Thank you for providing a low cost, effective solution for my needs and for being so willing to listen and help me over the phone.”
This DOES NOT look like it was easy. Good work!
My acoustics final! :D
Trust me… This was a million times more complicated then it looks @_@
One of the benefits of being able to put a camera just about anywhere.
“Our emotions have a vibratory frequency to them. There are only two emotions that humankind experience: fear and love - while other emotions branch either directly or indirectly from these two emotions. Fear has a long and slow frequency vibration to it, while love has a very rapid and high frequency.” - Erykah Badu
“There is music within us all. Not everyone knows their song and even if they manage to figure out what it is, there is no guarantee that other people will like it. All we can really do is realize our genres and make plenty of original albums. No one profits from a mixtape.” - Sky Diggs
A new theme song!

HIGH DEFINITION. = Just spotted this beauty played at the end of the star wars blu-ray movies, it’s a lovely demonstration of the beauty and sound of watching in HD. Watch at 1080p if your internet/comp can handle it.. most impressive.

Dolby is basically created for noise reduction purposes. The very first Dolby product is a simple compander. Let me tell you a little about companding. I first encountered the term “Companding” in my digital communications subject. Companding, is derived by merging “Compressing” and “Expanding”. So what exactly is being altered. Technically, it is the quantization levels that are made unequal. So how does it reduce the noise? Basically a compander, compresses before the signal is exposed to noise, and expands after the signal is exposed to noise.
Trivia: The very first film to use Dolby is A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Stanley Kubrick, one of the best films I’ve seen of all time.
